You Are Already Forgotten! The Importance of Follow Up

But a few days pass by…and guess what?

YOU ARE ALREADY FORGOTTEN!

Sounds terrible, doesn’t it?  But it’s not.  People and business owners are busy.  They have lives and life happens.  Your product or service is no longer at the top of their minds.

And that’s why you need to create a follow up system that follows up automatically for you!

I had a competitor come into my office one day.  They knew I landed a large account.  They asked if they could serve as a contingent.  I told them I may be interested.  But unfortunately, I didn’t have a project timeline or any other details (still wasn’t sure if I was going to need a contingent).  I told them I probably would know within the next 1-2 months.

A month went by and I received the timeline.  I also found out I needed to identify a contingent vendor.  This contingent vendor could easily make $12k (net) over a very short timeframe for a small amount of work.  And I, for the life of me, could not remember the people’s names (or the company).  And the business card was no where to be found.

If you are not staying in front of your prospects on a regular basis, how much business are you losing?
