We are reminded in February to show our love.  And what better way to remind you that you need to LOVE your customers!  It’s so important to show appreciation to your customers.
So many businesses focus on getting new customers.  When really they need to just show more love to their existing or past customers.

How can you do this?  Here are 13 ways to give love and show appreciation to your customers!

  1.  Provide OUTSTANDING Customer Service – From the get go, go above and beyond on every transaction.
  2. Say sorry – You are not perfect and neither is your business.  Things go wrong.  Make sure to own up to mistakes and apologize (and do your best to make it right).
  3.  Interact with your clients – Make an effort to truly interact with clients.  This means LISTENING.  Listen to what they say (and if possible do something about it).
  4.  Kick it something for free – Is there a service or a product you could surprise a client with?  Can you kick something in for free that would WOW them?
  5.  Provide continuing value – How can you keep providing value to customers?  Is it staying in contact?  Is it letting them know about something?
  6.  Be transparent – Be as up front and honest about the good AND the bad.  Are you experiencing delays in shipping?  Are you not able to make a commitment.  It is not fun to have to be the bearer of bad news.  But clients will appreciate it and know that you are a person they can trust.
  7. Thank them – Have you really ever thanked your customer?  We get so busy trying to do all the right things, we forget to say (or send) a thank you.
  8.  Teach them something new – What can you teach them that relates to your product or service that is cool or fun to know?
  9.  Spend quality time – Can you invite customers/clients to an event?  Can you sit down with them and listen to what is going on in their lives?
  10. Spotlight customers – Brag about your customers to your other customers.  Shine the light on them.
  11.  Throw a party – Have an event and invite your customers.  It will make them feel special, allow you to connect in a social setting, and can help you bring in additional customers.
  12. Send business – If your customer is a business, try to send business to them.  This creates some amazing loyalty!
  13. Celebrate them – send birthday cards, send cards for random holidays, celebrate unique events (marriage, child, anniversary, etc.)
